What to expect
Five zones, running all day
Everything is free and open to the public. Come for one service or stay for the day — no appointment, no insurance, and no paperwork.
Screenings & clinical services
- Blood pressure checks
- Blood glucose testing
- Cholesterol screening
- HIV testing — know your status
- BMI and wellness check-in
Brown-bag medication review
Bring your bottles or a written list and a pharmacist will review everything you take, free of charge. This is HAPA’s signature service and the reason many families come back each year.
Health education talks
Practical, plain-language sessions from pharmacists, with time for your questions and take-home handouts in English and Haitian Creole.
Partner & resource expo
Medicare and Medicaid navigators, marketplace assisters, community health centers, hospital systems, chronic-disease and wellness programs, senior care, and pharmacy school career tables.
Kids & family zone
Bounce house, hands-on activities with Girl Scout Troop 1040, face painting, children’s health giveaways, and a snack table.
Food & hospitality
Food truck service, water and light snacks, and seating near the stage so you can rest between services.

Our mission
Who this fair is for
HAPA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit uniting pharmacists and allied health professionals to promote public health through education in underserved communities.
Because most of our members are Haitian, we serve the Haitian community exceptionally well — and this fair is open to and intended for every underserved person within reach of North Miami. Care, handouts, and conversation are available in English and Haitian Creole.

Join the team
Volunteer with us
We need 25 to 30 volunteers to serve 200 neighbors — and you do not need a healthcare background. Most roles need only a willing attitude.
Everyone welcome
Registration and sign-in, kids and family zone, food and hospitality, vendor liaison, photography and social media, setup and teardown.
Pharmacists & students
Screening stations, brown-bag medication reviews, health education talks, and student screening support with documented service hours.
Free t-shirt, lunch and water, and service hours. Full-day volunteers get first pick of raffle prizes. Shifts fall between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM and you choose yours when you sign up. Assignments go out by October 17.
Sign-ups close October 10.
Sponsors & exhibitors
Put your organization in the room
Sponsorship places you in front of 100 to 200 local residents and includes an exhibitor table, on-site signage, and direct community engagement.
Who you reach
Families, seniors, uninsured and underinsured residents, and community leaders across North Miami and the surrounding area.
Tables available
Vendor and community-organization tables are available alongside sponsorships. Student organization tables are free.
Reported back to you
Every sponsor receives photos, attendance numbers, and a written impact summary after the event.

Loved the health fair? Join us Saturday, February 6, 2027 from 4:00 PM at the Downtown Event Center in Fort Lauderdale for Pharma-Fest 2027 — HAPA’s signature celebration of pharmacy, health, and community. Admission is free and RSVPs are open now.
